July 2016 Income Report and Visitors

Here is a breakdown of my July 2016 monthly income and visitors

Welcome to the July 2016 Stats Pack, a breakdown of how I made money online last month and a breakdown of the visitors to my blog about dads.

Readers have questioned why I have decided to release this information, I believe that by releasing this, I not only motivate the reader but I motivate myself to punch through these benchmarks next month.

I started DadsRise.com as I saw an opportunity to build a website that offered encouragement to Dads to help build their confidence as a father. Currently, I treat this as a side hustle to make extra money for my growing family.

There are blogs out there, that net over half a million dollars a month, yes that’s $500,000. No matter how difficult it may be to achieve that, this is what I aspire to.

Releasing my monthly income allows me to see where I have come from while building this blog, gives me the motivation to perform even better this coming month and shows Dads how you can start a blog and make money online.

Dads be proud of who you are, be proud of your role in the family. Despite all the negativity about us, all of the “babysitter” comments or all of the dinner dates with our children that people mistakenly refer to as “oh, must be dads weekends for the kids”, we play a vital role in the success of our children.

How much money did I make online in July 2016?

I broke even in July 2016 while I would have enjoyed showing a profit, I considered it a building month, again.

Like June, I am still developing my user base. I am disappointed however in the number of articles I released.

I decided to use HostPapa as my web hosting provider because it provided the lowest cost and its uptime was one of the higher I found. You can start a blog for even less then this through the DadsRise website if you follow the simple steps here.

    Breakdown of Income
  1. Affiliate Income – $0

I have signed up through affiliate programs through HostPapa and Amazon so far. I have had a few Amazon placements but I have to improve on this one.

  2. Advertising Revenue – $0

I put a large banner ad on my website, then I quickly took it down. Although I desire to make money blogging, I don’t want to sacrifice my reader’s experience.

  3. Sponsorship/Placements – $0

I expect this to be low for a little while. I am hopeful that as traffic increases, there is potential for dad related items such as outdoors, electronics or tech.

Blog Highlights for July 2016

The effects of summer on my blog seem to be heavy. Traffic builds up during the week but then drops significantly on the weekend. I also dedicate less time on the weekends to the blog, something which I will change in the very near future.

Twitter has allowed me to gain 142 new followers during the month of July 2016. Increasing my Twitter following has provided a new outlet to gain traffic to my blog. I have also made some great connections.

I posted Who Knew My Kids Love the Great Outdoors on Twitter and got some of my best Traffic as well as new followers.

Visitor’s and Income Report for the month of July 2016

As you can see, I didn’t quite reach my goal of 100 page views in a day but Traffic numbers are up which is a positive. The pages per session are lower than I would like it to be so I am going to work on embedding links in my articles to other articles. I have read on SEO Blog sites that not only does that help internal traffic, it will also help Google better index your site.

Goals for July 2016 Monthly Income and Visitors

I believe in setting goals as an important method to make life more efficient.

Goal 1 – Have a day with 100 page views. I was close again in July but this will serve as motivation for me to continue building my website.

Goal 2 – Make one dollar. I have been building DadsRise.com for a few months and this will be a symbolic Victory for the website.

Goal 3 – Double the number of Twitter followers. I have found Twitter to be a good source of traffic, but even more importantly I have been able to interact with other Dads.
